Within our company, we have many employees who actively contribute to people in need, in their private lives. As a company, we don't want to overlook this aspect.
Being there for each other and the community is one of the values we consider important within our PSA | MPET | ATS family. Therefore, each year, we allocate a portion of our Corporate Social Responsibility budget to various charitable causes.
Every PSA, MPET, and ATS employee has the opportunity to nominate a social cause, project, or organization they are involved in for financial support. This year, eight organizations were selected from all submissions. These organizations are actively supported by our employees and meet specific criteria (local involvement, clear social objectives, broad target audience). Each of them has been granted a budget for assistance.
The selected organizations and projects for 2023 are:
Medisch-Pedagogisch GO Instituut De Bevertjes
De Bevertjes provides education for preschoolers and children with developmental delays in mental and/or motor skills. The sponsorship funds aim to facilitate digital progress.
Berrefonds
Berrefonds provides support to parents, family, and friends facing the loss of a child. The awarded amount will be spent on cherish kits for hospitals, allowing parents to create memory boxes.
VillaMax
VillaMax vzw offers families with severely ill children a unique holiday experience, including care support.
BC De Vluchtheuvel & Sterrenhuis
This organization provides care and assisted living for people with disabilities. The raised funds will go towards organizing activities and purchasing equipment.
Instituut Mevrouw Govaerts Basisschool Buitengewoon Onderwijs
IMG Primary School in Heist-op-den-Berg provides education to children with intellectual disabilities. The €1000 will be used to enhance the preschool playground with the planting of hedges and flower bushes, a sandbox, play equipment, and (walking) bikes.
Buitengewoon grondig
This non-profit focuses on diversity and nature, offering day activities for individuals with autism. The €1000 is intended for the purchase of equipment, plants, chicken coop, and greenhouse.
Special Svelta G-voetbal
This soccer team for children and young adults with disabilities will use the sponsorship for acquiring equipment, transportation to matches, and organizing sports camps.
Kom Op Tegen Kanker
Kom Op Tegen Kanker (KOTK) is dedicated to the fight against cancer, providing support to cancer patients and their families. The donation from PSA | MPET | ATS will be utilized for psychosocial activities supporting individuals with cancer and their loved ones.
For the fourth year in a row, all truck drivers at MSC PSA European Terminal were honoured during the truck driver's day organized by Febetra, Transport en Logistiek Vlaanderen and UPTR!
Op donderdag 30 mei zwaaide MPET, geheel volgens traditie, alle collega’s die het afgelopen jaar met pensioen gingen uit. Het werd opnieuw een onvergetelijk eerbetoon.
