With an annual handling capacity of 9 million TEU, a quay length of 3.7 km and a surface area of 247 ha, MPET is Europe's single largest container terminal and accounts for more than 50% of Antwerp's total container volume.

Modalities
Connecting the World is more than just a slogan. As one of MSC's key European deepsea hubs, MPET is connected to ports and destinations all over the world. In addition, MPET is directly connected to the pan-European inland waterway network and handles more than 2,400 trucks and eight trains daily to and from the European hinterland.

MPET handles an average of 21 barges per day, adding up to nearly 8,000 barges each year.
Trucks
Every day, over 2,400 trucks (un)load cargo at MPET. That's 620,000 truck visits each year.
Trains
With 5 in-house rail tracks and 2 rail cranes, MPET handles an average of 8 trains per day.
